A nutritious smoothie can be a good start to your day or an afternoon pick-me-up, they can also provide energy.
Berry Smoothie
- 1 or 1 1/2 cup cranberry juice (diet or regular)
- 1-2 TBSP milled flax seed or chia seed
- 1 c spinach or kale (frozen works too)
- ½ cup Greek vanilla or plain yogurt (or 2 TBSP protein powder)
- 1 c frozen berries
- ½ frozen banana
- Optional (1 roasted beet)
Green Smoothie
- 1 or 1 1/2 cup almond milk (or other milk)
- 1-2 TBSP milled flax seed or chia seed
- 1 cup spinach or kale (frozen or fresh)
- ½ frozen banana
- 1 c frozen peaches, mango, pineapple (any light-colored fruit)
- ½ c Greek vanilla or plain yogurt (or 2 TBSP protein powder)
- Optional (1/2 cup chopped celery or cucumber)
High Calorie – Weight Gainer Smoothie
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 packet or ½ c vanilla Carnation instant breakfast
- 1- 1 ½ c ice cream
- 2 TBSP peanut butter (or any nut butter)
- 2 TBSP chocolate syrup for taste
Flavored Supplemental Smoothie
- 1 vanilla Ensure, Boost or generic supplemental drink
- 1 handful of spinach
- 1 cup frozen blueberries or pineapple
